Our Perfect 50th Birthday Girls Getaway!
An incredible stay for our 50th Birthday Celebration girls' weekend! The property is stunning and provided the perfect backdrop for our 'Shades of Green' themed celebration. We especially loved the spacious common areas that allowed us to sit, relax, and play games. The fully equipped kitchen made hosting our private chef an absolute breeze. The comfortable lounging areas also made our virtual meditation session feel seamless and serene. Outside, the hot tub, swings, and the pickleball court were a massive hit with everyone! The energy of the house is both grounding and luxurious, the hosts have truly thought of everything to make their guests feel like welcomed. We left feeling recharged and connected!
Best Sleep of Our lives
The pickleball court and the evening outdoor jacuzzi were a total hit… the kitchen was stocked to the brim… we all in unison had the best sleep of our lives in those beds.

Pure perfection. If you’re looking to escape to a place where every single detail has been thoughtfully considered, you’ll find it at Kindred Pines. We had a large group of 20 — adults, teenagers, and little ones — and every single one of us had an absolute blast. From great skiing and cozy nights filled with laughs by the fire to some pretty intense pickleball matches, the memories were nonstop. And a special shoutout to the beds — my kids haven’t stopped talking about how comfortable they were! We truly wished we could have stayed longer. It was exactly the kind of perfect escape we needed.
The perfect setup for a big family trip
We brought our whole crew to Kindred Pines, from grandparents to toddlers, and I can’t remember a trip that flowed this smoothly. The bedrooms are spread out in a way that gave everyone their own space, especially the big suites downstairs where all the cousins piled in together. The little play nook was a huge hit. It kept the younger kids busy while the rest of us made breakfast or got ready for the day. The kitchen and dining area were fantastic for a large group. Between the big table and the extra fold-out tables, we all sat together comfortably for meals. Having two refrigerators and laundry on site made the entire stay easier. Most days we alternated between outdoor time by the pond, quick nature walks, and games in the pickleball barn. At night, the two living areas made it easy for adults to unwind upstairs while the teens watched movies downstairs. If you're the trip planner in your family, this home makes you look like a hero. Everything we needed was already here, and everyone left with memories they’ll talk about for a long time.
A peaceful break with all the comforts we needed
We booked Elk Haven Lodge for a quiet mid-week getaway with three other couples, and it was exactly the kind of relaxing change of pace we hoped for. The views from the property alone made the trip worth it. We took slow walks along the creek each morning, and the trails felt easy and enjoyable without being strenuous. Inside, everything was spotless and thoughtfully laid out. Having a full kitchen and comfortable gathering spaces on the main floor meant we could stay on one level without bouncing up and down stairs. Evenings were our favorite part. We cooked dinner together, enjoyed long conversations around the table, and ended each night watching a movie in the den. It felt quiet, private, and very easy to settle into. For anyone looking for a relaxing retreat with friends, this place checks every box.
Detailed and Well Planned
Every detail felt intentional. The kids loved the indoor playhouse, the teens claimed the game room, and the adults got to unwind in the hot tub. It was a win across generations.
